Bas\u00e9e au Rwanda, cette ONG, qui se pr\u00e9sente comme \u00e9tant l\u2019association \u00ab de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00bb des professionnels du solaire en Afrique, promeut l\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire dans le contient.<\/p><p>En 2024, l\u2019Afrique du Sud, qui a ajout\u00e9 1,235 m\u00e9gawatt cr\u00eate (MWc) de nouvelles capacit\u00e9s solaires, conserve son statut de leader du solaire africain et demeure le seul pays du continent \u00e0 faire partie du \u00ab Gigawatt Club \u00bb, d\u2019apr\u00e8s le rapport de l\u2019AFSIA. Les quatre autres pays ayant ajout\u00e9 le plus de nouvelles capacit\u00e9s solaires l\u2019an dernier sont respectivement l\u2019\u00c9gypte (707 MWc), la Zambie (74,8 MWc), le Nigeria (63,5 MWc) et l\u2019Angola (53,8 MWc).<\/p><p>\u00ab En 2024, l\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire africaine n\u2019a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 que\u00a0<span class=\"suchwort\">0<\/span>,5 pour cent des nouvelles capacit\u00e9s mondiales (&#8230;). Une part aussi faible ne refl\u00e8te ni le potentiel exceptionnel du continent en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire, ni l\u2019urgence d\u2019accro\u00eetre la production \u00e9lectrique pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande croissante \u00bb, a-t-on lu dans le rapport.<\/p><p>L&rsquo;Afrique, qui ne repr\u00e9sente que 20 pour cent de la superficie de la terre, dispose de 40 pour cent du potentiel solaire de la plan\u00e8te, soit le gisement solaire le plus important du monde. Cependant, elle compte 600 millions de personnes qui n&rsquo;ont toujours pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.
